Third-party Fees
Third-party fees, sometimes known as disbursements, are the elements of a funeral that are not directly provided by the Funeral Director but are paid for on your behalf.
The most common third-party fees are crematorium fees, cemetery fees and the fees for someone to lead the funeral service such as a religious minister or non-religious celebrant.
Whilst these costs can vary depending individual wishes, this page aims to outline the most common fees so that you can see how the total cost of a funeral is reached.

Celebrant Fees
A Celebrant is the person who leads the funeral service. They can be a religious ordained minister such as a Church of England Vicar or Catholic Priest or a non-religious Celebrant. Whilst charges vary between Celebrants, for a service at a Crematorium or Cemetery the fees generally range from £190 - £225. If the funeral service is to be held in a place of worship ahead of a burial or cremation there will usually be fees payable for the use of the building too. We always advise of these fees ahead of any funeral booking.
